In the scope of the Istanbul Biennial Production and Research Programme, realised in collaboration with İKSV Alt Kat and supported by the Istanbul Development Agency (ISTKA).

Ozan Atalan, a biennial artist who is also a researcher and instructor, will be inviting Istanbul University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Fertilisation and Artificial Insemination faculty member and Associate Dean Prof. Dr. Serhat Alkan to discuss the water buffalos of Istanbul. In this conversation about water buffalos, which have historical, cultural and economic significance for Istanbul, urbanisation in the habitat of water buffalos is correlated with anthropocentrism; scientific and artistic viewpoints converge on the axis of transition from pasture feeding to ranching.
