At the 18th Istanbul Biennial, we are committed to ensuring that all visitors experience the exhibitions in the best possible way. To help balance visitor density, allow guided tours to proceed without interruption, and make the most efficient use of venue capacities, please review the rules that apply to group visits below. If you are planning to visit the biennial as a group, notifying us in advance will help enhance both your group’s experience and other visitors’ comfort while touring the exhibitions. Thank you for your cooperation.

VISITING DAYS AND HOURS

The 18th Istanbul Biennial can be visited with free entry at all venues.

All venues are open every day except Monday, between 10.00 and 18.00. The garden of the former French Orphanage is open daily between 09.00 and 21.30.

The biennial will be open on 29 October, Republic Day, which is a national holiday.

Due to the Istanbul Marathon on Sunday, 2 November, Meclis-i Mebusan Avenue and Kemeraltı Avenue where Galata Greek School is located may be closed to traffic. We kindly advise visitors planning to reach the venues by road during these hours to use the rail system or sea transport and to arrive on foot.

The Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts acknowledges the invaluable contribution of 2007–2036 Biennial Sponsor Koç Holding towards making free admission to the biennial possible for all visitors.

GUIDED TOURS ORGANISED BY İKSV

Regular guided tours are held for the 18th Istanbul Biennial, covering either single or multiple venues. Tailored options are also available for those who wish to explore the biennial through private tours. For detailed information, please visit the Guided Tours page or contact us at guidedtours@iksv.org to make a reservation.

OTHER GROUP VISITS

If you wish to visit the 18th Istanbul Biennial with a group on your own or organise narrated tours during the biennial, please inform us in advance via guidedtours@iksv.org with details on the date, time, and number of participants, and obtain confirmation regarding venue capacity.

Priority for entry will be given to individual visitors and registered tours. In some cases, groups of more than 10 people may need to wait until sufficient capacity becomes available. Due to space limitations, it is not possible to visit the biennial in groups larger than 20 people. Thank you for your understanding.
