Rıdvan Kuday (born in 1975, Diyarbakır) lives and works in Diyarbakır. For many years the artist has been attempting to make that which is hidden visible in his paintings through degeneration and disintegration. His subjects include on one hand social, economic and political problems, class conflicts, capitalist structure, technology, wars, diseases and deaths, while on the other hand the pain and loss the individual suffers in these conditions and the artist’s struggle to exist while attempting to express these experiences. He is the founding director of the A4 Open Art Space venue. Kuday is currently working towards his master’s degree and also initiates projects with young artists.
