Neslihan Başer (b. 1984, Adana) lives and works in Istanbul. Neslihan bases her research on the notions of memory and reminiscence. In her works she frequently uses fabric and treats it as a material that records emotion, thought, and experience. Through her approach it becomes a medium, which triggers memory and brings together diverse stories. Her solo and collective exhibitions include MA Visual Arts Summer Show, Camberwell College of Arts, London (2018); KEK Sever Misiniz?, Women's Works Library and Information Centre Foundation, Istanbul (2018); Recurrence, Merdiven Art Space, Istanbul (2018, solo exhibition); The First Round, Galata Greek School, Istanbul (2018); Hybrid, 2 Girls Art Gallery, London (2017).
