Nejbir Erkol (b. 1995, Nusaybin, Mardin) lives in Istanbul and Mardin. She graduated from the Department of Painting of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Mardin Artuklu University in 2018. She is currently working towards her MFA at Hacettepe University, Fine Arts Institute, Department of Painting. Her artwork, produced in a variety of media such as video, installation, painting and performance, questions the relationship of the memory spaces, that has marked her, with reality through daily concepts such as load, distance and urgency. Some of the group exhibitions in which the artist has participated are the Tekrar exhibition at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (2017); Mixer Sessions III (2018); an exhibition at TÜYAP (2018); Artist Experience, Artnivo (2018); Sit, Stand, Walk, BASE (2019); an exhibition at Daire Sanat (2019); Oradaydı, Base Art Project 2 (2019).
