Yuta Nakamura (b. 1983, Tokyo, Japan) currently works and lives in Kyoto, Japan. In his research-based and architecturally informed installations and sculptural objects, he is often engaged in the production of tiles and ceramic wares and their role as a craft on the periphery of folk art and architecture. His recent solo exhibitions include Willow Festival, Koyanagi Festival, Gallery Koyanagi, Tokyo, Japan (2017); What’s in the Vase?, The National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto, Japan (2020); Banbutsu Shisei|Born From All Things: A special blend by Yuta Nakamura, Shiseido Gallery, Tokyo, Japan (2022).
