Oda Projesi published the first issue of Anne(x) newspaper in 2003. Behind the idea of the Annex is the potential to transform what it is articulated and to be transformed with it. The subject of the 7th issue of Anne(x), produced for the 17th Istanbul Biennial, is hidden in its own title. The publication approaches motherhood as something attaching itself to a person or a woman. In Time / On Ground, carried out by Merve Elveren and Çağla Özbek in cooperation with the Women’s Library and Information Center Foundation (WLICF), focuses on the elements that fall outside the mainstream feminist narratives in Turkey. It focuses on the ‘other’ files, and thus the archive documents, which are not easy to classify and can be accessed through invited mediation, aiming for ‘completion’. This talk, which will be held with the joint conversation of Oda Projesi, Merve Elveren, Çağla Özbek and Füsun Ertuğ from the Executive Board of the WLICF, aims to look at the given structure from an outside perspective and provide alternative readings by focusing on the new issue of Anne(x).
