Orkan Telhan (b. 1976, Oberhausen, Germany) is an interdisciplinary artist, designer and researcher based in New York and Associate Professor of Fine Arts – Emerging Design Practices at the University of Pennsylvania, Stuart Weitzman School of Design. Telhan investigates critical issues in cultural, environmental and social responsibility. His individual and collaborative work has been exhibited internationally in venues including the 13th Istanbul Biennial, Istanbul, Turkey (2013); The New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York, USA, 2013; People’s Biennial, Museum of Contemporary Art, Detroit, USA (2014); 3rd Istanbul Design Biennial, Istanbul, Turkey (2016); Philadelphia Museum of Art, Philadelphia, USA (2019); Design Museum, London, UK (2021) and the 5th Istanbul Design Biennial, Istanbul, Turkey (2021).
