17th Istanbul Biennial and Uğur Mumcu Investigative Journalism Foundation (um:ag) call for applications to the ‘Hidden Stories from the World’ programme.

The programme is open to applications from journalists, journalism students, and digital content producers from all across Turkey.

Participants of the programme will be expected to select one project from the 17th Istanbul Biennial and write a story about it following an in-depth research process. The programme will also feature guided tours of the Istanbul Biennial exhibitions and an online workshop series. Participants will work on their texts with the support of editors from Uğur Mumcu Investigative Journalism Foundation.

Stories will be published on Istanbul Biennial web site and the um:ag Journalists Platform.

*This workshop will be held in English. The following workshops will be held in Turkish.

Applicants will need to fully fill the application for and all applications will be evaluated on the basis of programme’s objectives.

There are 40 openings available on the programme. Selected applicants will receive an invitation e-mail no later than 4 November 2022.
