Christian Nyampeta’s installation space will be activated by a participative performance by Rita Mukebo and Antony Mutshipule. The performance underlines Plato’s regard on ‘the other’, seeing them as the mirror of our soul. To reflect this concept, masks will be made using clay as a medium, the mask that we put on our faces to face ‘the other’. Following this ritual a figurative performance will take place questioning the state of displacement, of not having ground and not even soil. All will be tied together by the element of clay.
