Founded by Peter Schumann in New York in 1963, Bread and Puppet Theater is known for its giant puppets, masks made of papier-mâché and cardboard, street shows, and performances. With the facilitation of Feride Eralp, the giant puppets prepared by the volunteers by upcycling waste materials, the choreography, and the stage performances designed for 3 weeks, will be staged for the first time at santralistanbul on 14 September. Art director and famous Karagöz artist Cengiz Özek will accompany the performance with his play Garbage Monster. The performance will end with the ritual of giving bread to the audience, as in all performances of the ensemble.
