Nursev Irmak Demirbaş (b.1987, Ankara) lives in İstanbul. In 2012, she graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Architecture Department, and in 2017, she got her MSc in Architectural Design from the same university. In her thesis, A Guide For Designing a Universe, she explored the concepts and the representation systems of the common areas of science and architecture. Guided by the thesis, she designed and exhibited an installation/performance called An Experiment for Designing a Universe in the scope of ALT 001 artist residence program which is organized by A Corner in the World X Bomontiada. In 2018 she designed and exhibited a performance called Experiments on Magnetism in scope of A Corner in the World Performing Arts Festival. She contemplates on the components of universe, space, time, object, forces, matter, field and energy, by using different media, such as drawing, modeling, animation, installation and performance. Right now she is working on a research project called Constitution of Space as a Field which is about designing space not with solid matter but with fields like wind, sound, heat and electromagnetic field. She is also giving Design Studio classes and a course called Space Body Object Relations which is designed by herself at Bilgi University and MEF University.
