Uğur Sarışen (b. 1992, Istanbul) lives in Istanbul. He focuses on the ontological possesions and the potentials of emancipation of space in nonhuman / post-humanist / post-anthropocentric scenarios by centralising the experience of architectural space with neuroscientific, cognitive, ontological and phenomenological approaches. In 2016, he graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Architecture, where he is currently working as a research assistant. In 2019, he completed his master education in Architectural Design graduate programme in the same university, with a master thesis titled “A Post-Anthropocentric Approach in Architectural Theory: Debating on the Animal in the context of its Possessions in Architectural Neurophenomenology”. He pursues a PhD in the same programme.
