Didem Erbaş graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and she received her MA degree in Sabancı University Visual Art and Visual Communication Design Department with her thesis “Visual Notes: Geographies that I have not lived in.” She has still continue her pHd at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. 

In her practice, she works with installation, site-specific installation/intervention, paintings and video. In her works, she is interested in socio-politic issues in her living geography –Turkey. Geography, housing, tracing and transformation of the spaces are the topics she focuses on. As well as architectural structures and changing perspectives, human sanctions on nature are the basic themas on her works. 

Some of the shows she has participated in are, Past, Present Istanbul, Sakıp Sabancı Museum (2021); Mecmu, Barın Han (2021); Fluid Dynamics, Versus Art Projects (2021); Up above was fog, down below was a cloud of dust, Depo (2020); UKYA City Take Over: Nottingham, The Terrace, Nottingham (2019); Beyond Words, 4th Mardin Biennial (2018); man Reiche mir Trost (Give me Solace), Schau Fenster, Berlin (2016).

Didem Erbaş is currently living and working in Istanbul.
