One of the participants of the 17th Istanbul Biennial, Mariah Lookman, planted about 30 seeds belonging to tropical plants mentioned in the Bhela Samhita, one of the oldest texts of Ayurveda, brought from Pakistan and Sri Lanka, accompanied by the live music performance of the TÜMATA group. Planted in a ceremonial spirit in Zeytinburnu Medicinal Plants Garden, the seeds will sprout until the biennial, inviting visitors to think and rest in the fascinating climate of the tropics.
